Smoke and Mirrors follows the development of the characters from the last Vicki Nelson novel, except that these most recent don't feature Vicki at all. Instead, they focus on Henry and Tony, vampire and ex-pomme de sang now working in special effects.
There aren't any particular surprises here, but the change in perspective to a new focus character is interesting. If you liked Vicki Nelson, you'll probably enjoy these,
